The goal of BUSD is to ensure that each of our schools treats students fairly, equitably, is safe, and maintains an environment conducive to learning.
Barstow Fine Arts Academy aligns with our district goals and is committed to supporting an exceptional and equitable educational program for all students in a safe positive environment through mastery of fine arts, community leadership, creative thinking, and achievement which will foster student academic, artistic, and social success, where students from all backgrounds can thrive, and where no individual will experience discrimination based on ethnicity, national origin, gender, religion, or disability.
Barstow Fine Arts Academy is a tuition-free, public school open to any resident of Barstow Unified School District and is also open to families outside of Barstow Unified School District. There is no test or performance criteria to enroll at Barstow Fine Arts Academy.
In addition to the core curriculum, Barstow Fine Arts Academy offers students instruction in Visual and Performing Arts via integration in general classrooms as well as VAPA instruction via trimesterly classes in Music, Theatre, and Visual Arts. All VAPA classes are aligned to the California State Standards for Visual and Performing Arts.

Our Goals: Goal 1: Ignite the Learning Environment: We will continue to cultivate a safe and productive learning and working environment for all at BFAA.
Goal 2: Imagine Instructional Leadership: We will continue to shape a collaborative culture of teaching and learning, informed by professional standards and focused on student and professional growth.
Goal 3: Inspire Connectedness (Climate): We will continue to strengthen school climate through participation, engagement, connection, and a sense of belonging among all students, staff and families.
