Barstow Fine Arts Academy

OUR Vision & MISSION

Vision: Our students are creative lifelong leaders and learners who possess a growth mindset and grit with an emphasis in artistic literacy,

which will enable them to achieve personal success, be flexible, and make choices that positively impact their community.

Mission: Working together, staff, families, and community members are committed to supporting an exceptional and equitable educational program

for all students in a safe and positive environment through mastery of fine arts, community leadership, creative thinking, and achievement

which will foster student academic, artistic, and social success.

The application window for Barstow Fine Arts Academy is open from February 1 through May, 2024. We will have a link here to School Mint where you will fill out an application to attend. If your student already attends BFAA you do not need to apply for next year. If you applied in a previous year but your student was not accepted or was put on a wait list, you will need to apply again as School Mint does not keep previous year's wait lists.

Yearbooks

In order to have your child's picture in the yearbook, we must have a photo release form with the yearbook box checked and signed in the office. If you did not authorize that, or your child did not take a picture, they will not be in the yearbook.

Yearbooks are ordered and paid for through the Tree Ring website. We will not have any on hand to sell in the office. You can still order a book from last year if you are interested in that.

For safety, BFAA is a closed campus. Parents are not able to enter campus to walk their student to class. All staff are out on campus in an assigned duty spot to ensure student safety and assist in directing students. Students may eat  breakfast before heading to class if needed. Breakfast is served from 8:50-9:05am.
